Delivered Denver 22/3/43; Cheyenne 31/3/43; Romulus 10/4/43; Assigned 366BS/305BG [KY-F] Chelveston 18/5/43; Transferred to the 547th Bombardment squadron, squadron code SO-Q, 384th Bombardment Group, station 106, Grafton Underwood on 19 September 1943. Missing in Action on a mission to Bremen, Germany on 26 November 1943 with Pilot-Leslie Otho Amundsen, Navigator-Frank Faragasso, Bombardier-Robert Vincent Coughlin, Radio Operator-Murray Max, Flexible Gunner-Howard, Frank Chairet , Co-pilot-William Theodore Marcollo, Engineer/Top Turret Gunner-Lawrence F. Lord, Ball Turret Gunner-James Michael Culloty, Waist Gunner Charles Emil Zesch and Tail Gunner-Cecil William Brown were all captured and became Prisoners of War (10 POW). Shot down by enemy aircraft and force landed near Donkerbroek, The Netherlands. Missing Air Crew Report (MACR) #1662.
