12 April 1944 - 5 September 1944 Walked for 5 days across Belgium after landing in parachute near Liège, Belgium. Crossed into France and stayed for 15 days with a Maquis in the border region near Givet, France. Forced to retreat after a German attack, got into Belgium again, then went back to France, ending up in Mirecourt, south of Nancy, France. The town was liberated by US troops in early September and Peter was back in England on 6 September 1944.
