Evaded capture

12 April 1944 After landing in parachute in a field West of Hingeon, near Namur, Belgium, he was helped by Belgian citizens and members of the Belgian Résistance. Sheltered, fed, clothed, transported to the Liège, Belgium, region, from where he was guided to France and then crossed into Switzerland where he arrived on 1 June 1944. Left Switzerland for Annecy, France in September and was flown back from there to England on 29 September 1944.
