James S La Rock
MilitaryKilled in Action (KIA) on 4-Mar-43 in B-17F #41-5370, 91BG/324BS while serving as Navigator. The aircraft was shot down by fighters near Texel Island and crashed into the sea. His body was recovered from a sandbank called Koffieboonplaat between the islands of Ameland and Terschelling on 24-May-43. After the war his remains were reinterred in the Ardennes American Cemetery.
