Rear L-R: S/Sgt Warren R Messmer [Eng], S/Sgt Angelo Passero [Radio], S/Sgt Harvey L Cartrite [Ball], S/Sgt James E Mellor [RW], S/Sgt Ralph C Murray [LW], S/Sgt Edward L Phillips [Tail].
Front L-R: 1 Lt Eugene T Schiappacasse [Pilot], 2 Lt David S Janofsky [CoPilot], 2 Lt Henry S P Kress [Nav], 2 Lt Gerald Taylor [Bomb].

Official caption from Fold3 wrongly identifies the unit as 398th Bomb Group, presumably because the negative was processed via that unit.

As per MACR 3804 and the 95th Bomb Group roster Schipacasse & his crew served with the 95th Bomb Group, flying their first mission with the group on 23 March 1944.

In other versions of this image from the 95th Bomb Group website, the aircraft's nickname is visible in the background
