Allen Seamans, 85, born Nov. 3, 1921, in Chester, Texas, died July, 8, 2007, at his home in Pueblo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simeon Seamans and Sarah Riley; and sister, Simmie Jean Gregory. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen; his son, Tom (Dori) Seamans; two grandsons, Matthew and Justin; two sisters, Bernadine Eiland and Edna Earl (Henry) Mick of San Antonio, Texas. He also is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Seamans served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, as a navigator and bombardier on a B-24. He was shot down over Holland, was captured and spent 13 months as a prisoner of war. He also served in the Air Force in Korea. He moved to Pueblo, where he worked at the Pueblo Army Depot until his retirement in 1977. Mr. Seamans requested no service. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home office to the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum, where he was a founding member and avid supporter. The family will receive friends at the family home, 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, 1610 Bunker Hill.
