Military ROLL OF HONOURAssigned to 324BS, 91BG, 8AF USAAF. Shot down 16-Aug-44 in B-17 43-38000 while serving as Co-Pilot. Aircraft was attacked by fighters which set the aircraft on fire and detonated the bomb load which caused the aircraft to disintegrate in mid-air. The remains of the aircraft fell near Lehna, Germany. Killed in Action (KIA). MACR 8181
