116 P-47s are despatched as part of the coordinated plan to direct strategic bombing of harbour facilities at Wilhemshaven and Emden, Germany. 1 P-47 is abandoned because of engine trouble. The pilot was seen in his dingy and a flight of 16 P-47s were despatched on an ASR search, but the pilot was not found. The fighters claim only 2 enemy fighters damaged.
