Renamed LUCKY STRIKE (with nose art) 6 Aug 44: Lost with Pitzenbarger Crew R-26 (619) Aircraft lost in landing accident on return from Group Mission 64, colliding with another ship. Both aircraft destroyed. In this ship, 1 crewman was killed and 9 were wounded, 2 seriously. Since the group was going to be disbanded after the next mission, this plane was not replaced.
