The B-17G, 42-39832, correctly named, Headache For Hitler, was delivered to Long Beach, CA; 13 Sep 43; Gr Island 3 Oct 43; Assigned 364th Bomb Squadron - 305th Bomb Group [WF-A] Chelveston 18 Oct 43; On a practice mission with Julius Sensat, Copilot : Lloyd Slimp, Navigator: Capt. Clarry Cole, Bombardier : Melvin Arnold, Flight Engineer/Top Turret Gunner: Everett Yake, – Cpl. Chas Holt : 6 RTD. 3 WIA. Aircraft crash landed on base when it's main landing gear was retracted too early : 18 Apr 44, Salvaged : 19 Apr 44.





Note #1 : The B-17G, 42-39832, one of the two B-17Gs, both of whose correct names were, Headache For Hitler, is misidentified on, https://b17flyingfortress.de/en/b17/42-39832-hitlers-headache/ - as named, Hitler's Headache. But, as mentioned, it was actually one of the two B-17Gs, named, Headache For Hitler, : 42-39832, and 42-97321.
