I'm the son of Douglas L. White, a radio technician in the 508th Squadron, 404th Fighter Bomber Group, 8th Air Force, United States Army Air Corps. In my over 50 years with him, he may have spoken a thousand words to me about his experiences in WW2, but I did overhear snatches of conversations he had with friends.
