Shot down 24 April 1944 in B-17 42-97305. Plane ditched in Channel. Returned to base.
Shot down 27 May 1944 in B-17 42-102613, Prisoner of War. Was At Stalag Luft III, liberated by Russians, 1945. After WW II became an airline pilot, married, had a child. When Korean War began, re-enlisted, flew air refueling in LA. Killed in tanker crash in early 1950's . He lived in Bossier City with family at the time, so assumed he was flying out of Barksdale AFB.
