22 April 1944 captured, he was hospitalized in the Menden Reserve hospital, Germany, for a fractured ankle. Interned at Stalag Luft 4 in Gross Tychow/Tychowo, Pomerania. Force-marched from there to Wobbelin bei Ludwigslust, then to Usedom/Savenmünde, Germany. NARA WWII POW record : “Returned to Military Control 3 July 1945.”
