Frank J Hart

A gunner with 67th Sqdn - flying several missions on 'Suzy-Q' - Sgt. Hart had experienced an irregular heartbeat at altitude and was consequently taken off flying status. He was then posted to the Replacement Depot at Stone where he was reduced to Private 'without prejudice' and reassigned to the 16th Repair Depot near Blackpool, which later bcame part of the 9th AF and moved to the Continent.



He returned to the USA in March 1945 having made T/Sgt and was discharged in June.

Taking advantage of the GI Bill Frank went on to study Chemistry and worked for Armour Pharmaceutical Co. as a research chemist until his retirement in 1985.
