Jena, Germany 23 February 1945 Bombed the marshaling yard. Scheduled for a low level approach but fortunately the weather did not cooperate and we bombed from approximately 20,000 feet. Lost some close friends on this mission. The Kolaya Crew ditched in the English Channel. Only three crewmen survived.

Horsham St Faith, Norwich, Norfolk, UK 8 March 1945 Bombed Dillemburg, Germany On the way home we crossed the North Sea for 110 miles with both inboard engines feathered. The B+24 had the glide characteristics of a rock and we barely made it to an emergency landing at Horsham. Flying B-24J-401-CF #42-50465 "Damifino" on this mission.
