Post War: 36-year veteran of the USAAF and the USAF. A decorated pilot who served a tour in Vietnam. Assigned to NASA to work on the Apollo lunar program, completed his military career with duty in the Inspector Generals office at Andrews AFB and then with the Foreign Technology Division at Wright Patterson AFB.
