Derrol W Rogers
Military ROLL OF HONOURB-17 #4229752 ditched in Channel 13 May 1943. Killed in Action (KIA). Only member of crew killed. The waist gunner's gun went off as he was unloading preparing to land and it shot off the stabilizer, The crew bailed out and Pilot Rogers and Co-pilot Gorse took the plane over the Wash and then they bailed out. Rogers died from overexposure.
