Charles A Reed
MilitarySgt. Charles A. Reed, was a waist gunner on the B-2D, Euroclydon The Storm, 42-40612. His plane was shot down on Operation Tidal Wave, and he was able to bail out successfully. He was captured and became a prisoner of war. He was one of only two of the crew, himself and Gunner SSgt. James Vest, who survived bailing out at low altitude and were taken prisoner. 2 POW. 10 KIA. 1 Aug 1943.
