Thomas Leslie Boggan
Military2nd Lt Thomas Boggan was Bombardier on board of B-24H-25-FO, 42-95043, hit by Flak over France on the 1 August 1944 mission. The plane made it back to England but crashed (see the 42-95043 page). Boggan bailed out over France and, with the help of French citizens and members of the Resistance, he was hidden in the Fréteval Forest near Châteaudun, France. Leaving the camp on the approach of Allied forces, he was liberated when he met US troops at Mondoubleau. Escape & Evasion Report E&E 1090.
