Military ROLL OF HONOUROn a bomber withdrawal mission in P-38J 42-68188, he was forced to ditch in the North Sea due to low fuel after claiming two FW 190s, probably another and damaging a fourth. RTD.
Last seen in a spiral E of Lowestoft, Suffolk enroute to a bomber withdrawal support mission on 29 Mar 1944 in P-38J 42-67416. Killed in Action (KIA).
