Assigned to 351FS, 353FG, 8AF USAAF. Credited 1/2 share of Me262. Failed to Return (FTR) escort to Ruhland in P-51 44-14781 'Don-Helen'; pursuing Me109 through bomber formation hit by flak or friendly fire, crashed near Madel. Killed in Action (KIA) MACR 12862



On 14-Jan-45, Lt. Rohrs was flying in "Blue Flight" with Leader Lt. Billy J. Murray and Lt. George J. Rosen. Murray called a bounce on two ME262 and after Murray destroyed the one on the left, Rohrs and Rosen finished the jet on the right confirming it crash with no chute. Both pilots' reports indicated the enemy pilot was probably either dead or severely wounded prior to crashing.
