Notes: 3rd Bomb Division was made up of 486th Bomb Group & 487th Bomb Group using B-24s Ths was the first mission for each. Morning assembly was aborted and a second attempt was made in the afternoon. Cloud prevented part of the force from bombing. 7- May-44 was only the 2nd time more than 1000 bombers were airborne. The last 1000 plane raid was made during "Big Week".
