As a combat leader of a fighter group, Lt. Col. Stone, Jr., displayed unusual qualities of leadership, skill and courage. The New York officer was a research engineer [illegible]...lle in New York as a civilian. The ceremony took place at an American Air Station somewhere in England. Middlesex [obscured], England.'
