Roy Koons was Top Turret Gunner on board B-24D Serial 42-63784 shot down 6 June 1944 by Flak over Belgium on Carpetbagger mission "OSRIC 81 DZ". Died of wounds on 6 June 1944 in the Luftwaffe Hospital in Saint-Gilles, Brussels. MACR 5393.
