Robert Gordon Morgan

Robert Morgan was a keen baseball player at Ohio State University before America's entry into the war. He was already married when he enlisted in the Air Corps and trained as a bombadier. He was at Bassingbourn with the 91st Bomber Group when their B-17 was shot down and he was taken prisoner. When liberated by the Russian Army he weighed less than 100 lbs.
Post war he attended Dental School in 1946 and eventually had his own practice from which he retired in 1990. He was always a baseball enthusiast and keen on hunting and fishing. Robert Morgan died January 9th 2005, his wife of 50 years having pre-deceased him.
