Phillip Elmore Sandbek October 11, 1922 ~ March 12, 2007

Born in Grand Forks, N.D., he graduated from Minnehaha Academy, Minn., North Park Theological Seminary in 1952, received his bachelor of science degree in education from State University College in Oneonta, N.Y., and a master of divinity from Drew University School of Theology in Madison, N.J.He served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1945 as a ball turret gunner on a B-17. He flew 30 missions over Germany.He served as a minister to United Methodist Churches in upstate New York, Long Island, and in Brooklyn, N.Y. He served in Northport, Mich. Evangelical Covenant Church, East Northport Covenant Church, Treadwell United Methodist Church, Prattsville UMC, Roosevelt UMC, Grace UMC in Brooklyn and Hauppauge UMC. After retiring to Arkansas in 1980, he served numerous church congregations in Arkansas, including Paragould, Highfill, Elm Springs, Oakley Chapel in Rogers, Pea Ridge, Gentry, Perryville, Russellville and the Bella Vista Wesleyan Church."
