Assigned to OTU at Firth of Fourth. Assigned 121 Sqn. Arrived as P/O just before Dieppe raid (August 19th, 1941).
Transferred as 2nd Lieutenant to 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, 8AF USAAF. served from October 14th, 1942 to March 4th, 1944 (POW).
December 21st, 1942 placed on DS (detached service - special mission, returned December 28th, 1942).
Promoted to 1st Lieutenant in April 1943.
February 3rd, 1944 designated Flight Commander C Flight
Hit by Flak North of Bruges (Belgium). Crashlanded near Maldegem (Belgium) on a bomber support mission to Berlin in P-51B 43-7004. Taken Prisoner of War (POW) and transferred to Stalag Luft I.
Post War worked for Texaco Oil Company.
