Luchious Luke Howington

TSgt. Luchious Howington was the Tail Gunner, on the mission to Cologne - Köln, Germany, onboard the B-24H, 41-29128, Lady Luck, with the Glen Rowe crew. The plane was hit by flak on the return from the mission. The badly damaged bomber crashed in an emergency landing attempt at the Saint-Trond Airfield, Belgium. Luchious was killed (KIA) in the crash. 15 October 1944. Note : The US 1930 Census for Franklin County, Louisiana has Sgt. Howington's first name as, "Lucious". All other official documents read, "Luchious".
