Lt. P Meehan's crew gathered for a team photo in front of one of the training ships stateside, prior to shipping over to the ETO. All bar one of Lt. P Meehan's crew were KIA at Ploesti, Rumania 1st Aug 43 in B-24 #42-40804 'The Lady Jane' / 'Bertha'.
Crashed on 8/1/43 while on TDY to 9th AF for Ploesti raid in B-24 'Lady Jane' #42-40804, Prisoner of War (POW).
Yates was the only survivor from his crew.
