Severely injured in B-26C 41-34709 323BG/343BS while serving as Tail Gunner. The crashed near Great Barton, Suffolk due to poor weather and engine failure at low altitude on 11 Sep 1943 while on return from mission to Beaumont-Le-Roger. Sergeant Glass seriously injured and lost both legs.
