John N Zneimer

Military

My late father, John N. “Jack” Zneimer, is listed on your website with some inaccurate information.
My dad was a decorated 1st Lt. Navigator with the 401st Bomb Group based in Deenethorpe and flew in the 614th & 615th squadrons.
He was buried with full military honors at the Sarasota National Cemetery several months ago, and I filed his military papers there as well.
His full name was John Nicolas Zneimer but he was known to his friends as “Jack” and that is what he requested be used on his marker. Because the military would only allow one name, the information on his grave marker reads as follows:
Zneimer, Jack N.
1st Lt. US Army Air Forces
World War II
07/03/1925
06/28/2022
