John Boros was Flight Engineer/Top Turret gunner in the 463rd Bomb Group / 775th Bomb Squadron (15th Air Force), in Italy. He was killed in the crash of B-17 # 42-31685 on the 10 May 1944 mission to the Wiener Neustadt aircraft factory, Austria. Missing Air Crew Report - MACR 4660.

He is still listed as Missing In Action (MIA) at http://www.dpaa.mil/OurMissing/WorldWarII/wwii_main.aspx?br=aaf&a=b and is memorialized at the Florence American Cemetery in Italy.
