The crashed near Great Barton, Suffolk due to poor weather and engine failure at low altitude on 11 Sep 1943 while on return from mission to Deaumont-Le-Roger. Earlier on ferrying flight from FL in B-26 41-18079 a/c went down due to gas shortage on July 23, 1943
