James Vernon Richardson

Graduated from Hampton High School, Hampton, VA in 1939. While in school he joined the Hampton Battery D National Guard and transferred to the Richmond Light Infantry Blues before enlisting. He was co-pilot of B-17 #42-3437 nicknamed "Excalibus Revenge" when the plane was hit by flax over Paris, France and he was Killed in Action. (KIA).
