Shot down 5 January 1944 in B-17 #42-39816. Plane crashed into Bay of Biscay. Gerald Norman was the sole survivor. Prisoner of War (POW). The nine other men on board most probably drowned in the Bay of Biscay and are listed as Missing In Action (MIA).
