George Ward was a Navigator with 322nd Squadron 91st Bomber Group at Bassingbourn and flew 25 combat missions with them until April 1944. He then flew B-26's out of Carswell AFB in Fort Worth, went on to work for the National Security Agency and retired from active duty in 1967.



Among his awards were the DFC, Air Medal and Joint Services Commendation Medal. He died 8th August 2003 and was buried at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
