Flew Ploesti raid 8/1/43 (received a DFC for this raid and also the First raid on Rome. On our 13th raid, our ship was badly damaged, over Dresden, Germany. Finished 25 raid on Jan 10, 1944. Our last raid was supposed to be a shuttle raid from England, Bomb Berlin. . . land in Russia, return over Berlin for another bombing and then return to England. Weather turned bad so that raid was cancelled
