T/O Harrington 2325 HRS, 4 July, shot down by ME110 south of Paris and crashed 0118 hrs, 30 miles SE of Chartres (Autry-sur-Juine). No. 2 engine knocked out and bomb bay enveloped in flames. S/Sergeant Syra killed in initial fighter attack.
