Military ROLL OF HONOUR

Killed in Action. 26 Jun 1944 - shot down by flak and crashed near Vaubecourt in B-17 'Slick Chick 42-97811. He tried to evade capture, but was picked up by German soldiers, while trying to escape them he shot and killed 2 of them. He was recaptured tried and convicted of war crimes and partisian activities and executed by firing squad at 2 pm on June 27, 1944.
