Missions from 24 December 1944 to 29 April 1944. First 13 with 448th BG, last 5 as lead crew flying PFF plane with 389th BG. B-24H 41-28673 ran off the runway on landing at Old Buckenham on 23 Mar 1944. RTD.



On 29 April 1944 after leading the 466th BG to Berlin, we ditched in North Sea about 30 miles off Yarmouth in B-24 41-28764. Seven of twelve crew members survived. I was grounded because of injuries.
