Alternate target hit at the steel works of Vereinigte Stahlworks of Boxhum. #2 and #4 engines knocked out/on fire by fighters. MACR 385. Killed by 20mm fire while attempting to bail out through the waist escape hatch. Killed in Action (KIA).
