In addition to the bombing missions, during the month of Sept '44 he along with his copilot (Lt. Walter Faulkner), Engineer (TSgt. Sidney W Minor), Radio Operator (TSgt. Donald Pelletier) and Crew Chief (MSgt. Irvin L Clark) flew (18) B-24 gas shuttle missions to France in support of General Patton's advancing 3rd Army.
