Arthur J Horning
MilitaryOn 10th October 1943 Horning was navigator on 'Tennessee Toddy' when it was shot down. One member of the crew was killed, eight became POWs but Horning managed to evade with the help of the Belgian Resistance and got back to the USA.
He wrote of his experiences in 'The Footsteps of a Flying Boot' reviewed as 'an engrossing account....highly recommended'. He afterwards qualified as a Certified Public Accountant.
