Shot down by fighters on 11 January 1944 in B-17 #42-3057 'Blonde Bomber.' After landing in parachute, Aldo Roswell waited till evening before he started to walk West. He only at first walked at night and hid during the day, but after five days, having gotten too hungry, he tried to steal something to eat in the daylight and got caught. Prisoner of War (POW).
