Notes: A mix of fighters from 8th Air Force and IX Fighter Command provided escort: All 99 P-38s were from IX Fighter Command (not included in table) and were part of the 266 fighters contributed by IX Fighter Command to the escort; 182 P-47s and 190 P-51s. All claims were made by 354th Fighter Group of IX Fighter Command. 4th Fighter Group of 8th Air Force was the only 8th Air Force loss, IX Fighter Command lost 3 P-51s (not included in table) 354th Fighter Group -1 and 363rd Fighter Group -3..
