Pilot Orman Coffin recovered fron spin and returned to base safely, Missing Air Crew Report 11255, 114m, Returned to the USA Bradley 29/6/45; 4168 Base Unit, South Plains, Texas 12/9/45; Reconstruction Finance Corporation (sold for scrap metal in USA) Kingman 15/12/45. Framlingham Airfield, UK 30 December 1944 Severe Icing during form up caused the a/c to go into a spin. Two crew bailed out but were KIA. The pilot recovered from the spin and returned to base safely.
