Markings & paint scheme: Natural Metal Finish. A black circle (indicating 2nd Air Division) with a centered silver "F" (indicating 445th Bomb Group) on top of the right wing. The outer faces of the vertical stabilizers were black with a centered horizontal white stripe (also indicating the 445th BG). The radio call letter (RCL) "I" was centered in the white stripe in black. The tail number "295192" was toward the top of the inner face of the vertical stabilizers in black. On both sides of the fuselage, near the gunners' windows, the squadron code "RN" (indicating 703rd Bomb Sqn) & the RCL "I" in black (RN-I). The name "Silver Streak" was on the nose in black.

Flew 27 missions with the 703rd Bomb Squadron, 445th Bomb Group. On 25 July 1944, on a mission to St. Lo, France (445th BG Mission # 133), the aircraft was hit by flak & crashed near Marigny, France. 6 members of the crew were killed, 2 became POWs. The pilot, Lt. Long, was capured & escaped 3 times, eventually reaching Allied lines. MACR 7841. E&E 1442.
