This aircraft transferred to the 392nd Bomb Group (H) from the 492nd Bomb Group (H) after the mission on 6th August 1944. The 492nd, based at North Pickenham, had suffered heavy losses and was effectively wound down after 6th August '44, with remaining aircraft and crew transferred to other units.
