Allred, Co-pilot: William M. Reed, Navigator: Donald L. Ferguson, Bombardier: Nickolas Leschak Jr. (injured), Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Raymon L. Noble (injured), Radio Operator: Eldon B. Drury, Ball turret gunner: Robert M. Mitchell, Waist gunner: Carl H. Redcay, Tail gunner: Virgil D. Hunt (9 Returned to Duty); en route to target #3 out, turing back another engine lost, pilot spotted small airfield and Chailey, Sussex, ship landed safely then skidded into village of Plumpton, but caught fire, crew jumped out before aircraft exploded; Salvaged 2 SAD, 5 August 1944.
