The B-24H, 41-29191, Hello Natural, was organized with 448th Bomb Group and the 712th Bomb Squadron on 6 Apr 1943 at Gowen Field near Boise, Idaho. After deployment to the U.K., the airplane was damaged in a landing accident at Seething, England, 21 Jan 1944.
After being hit by flak and losing fuel on a mission to Genshagen, Germany, near Berlin, the B-24H, 41-29191, Hello Natural, turned towards Sweden and landed at Bulltofa Airfield near Malmo, Sweden. The airplane and crew were interned. 10 INT-SWE. 6 Mar 44. MACR 3548.
The crew was released and returned, starting in July through September, 1944. The aircraft was returned to the U.S. in 1945.
